Do we often think that we can never extricate ourselves from our weaknesses? Or we feel unbearable when we have accusations or humiliation after committing sins? Or sometimes when we hear people receiving beautiful blessings because of their faith, will we somehow think that because of our lack of faith, such blessings will never come upon us? Actually, Lord will never abandon us! <Mt 12:20> says: “A bruised reed he will not break, and a smouldering wick he will not snuff out…” Lord’s faithfulness and loving kindness certainly do not only save and help those who appear strong and reject the weaklings. Our Lord will not reduce to helplessness to the weaklings. This is not the nature of gospel. Instead, gospel is to manifest the power of God in the born again, and it is all the more revealed in the life journey of sanctification of saints.  In our journey of sanctification, we will go through a lot of ups and downs, twists and turns; Lord’s sheep that is weak will even fall into sins, showing undoable sides, but the Lord will never abandon His children, neither will He continue to punish them for their lost determination. Instead, in such children, Lord will continuously proves His persevering grace, constantly renewing and strengthening them in His grace so that He will receive praises for His glorious grace. We ought to know that man’s determination will deplete but God’s will perseveres to the end. Although the ugly sights of others may not please our eyes, our hearts may not embrace others’ ignorance, but the great love of God can actually laid down His life for complete sinners so as to awaken the ignorance and strengthen the powerless. When the enemy accuses the people whom God loves all the time (he can accuse us through the day and night because our humanity is weak), God in His faithfulness will not only help those who are able to help themselves and abandon the helpless people who are weak in their emotions and will. In contrary, God will show His holy grace and compassion so that the weak can become strong, the ugly can restore their glorious beauty, finally all glory be unto Him and shame to be unto Satan. But we often feel that this is a long process, the disciplining rod seems unbearable, the rebukes and whiplash pain are so real. But God promised to bring justice, and He will bring justice through to victory. The justice of God will definitely cause God’s people to completely repent and their hearts reclaimed by God. They will devote to live their lives loving God and men.
