Preaching the Word is both the reason to gather and also the mission to disperse. Why is there power in gathering? Is it due to seeing familiar faces? No! But because when we saints gather, the Word of God is preached. All the saints hear the Word of God and share the same spirit in their hearts, thus they are strengthened together. After hearing the Word, we continue to put this powerful word in our mouths to testify it, then our hearts will naturally be strengthened. Thus, Satan will use 2 ways to stop saints from gathering to receive God’s Word. He will use comfortable and safe environment to tempt us, such that we are attracted by the world and lose the heart to meet. He will also use persecutions and threats to make us afraid to meet. But no matter what methods he uses, we know that as long as we do not gather, we do not hear the Word and do not testify the Word, then we will gradually become slaves to the world, thus when we are dispersed to our living fields, we also have no power to share the gospel.
