The transcendentals - truth, goodness, beautyGen 1:26-27; 2Co 5:17; Eph 4:23-24; Eph 2:15-16; Gal 3:27; Col 3:10

1. Created in God’s image.

<Gen 1:26-27>

26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness, so that they will have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

27 And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

2. Regeneration = Restoration of God’s image.

<2Co 5:17>

17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

<Eph 4:23-24>

23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your mind,

24 and to put on the new man, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

<Eph 2:15-16>

15 by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might create the two into one new man, making peace,

16 and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, having in Himself put to death the enmity.

<Gal 3:27>

27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

<Col 3:10>

10 and have put on the new man who is being renewed to a full knowledge according to the image of the One who created him—
