The Fulfillment and Glory of the Cross of Christ

2.    What did the Lord Jesus’ death and resurrection fulfill?

1)    The Lord’s resurrection signifies His victory over the power and sting of death

·        “The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.”

 

2)    The Lord’s resurrection means that Satan’s power has been completely crushed

·       The Lord was tempted in every way, yet He did not sin

 

3)    The Lord Jesus is seated at the right hand of the throne of God

3.    Is the cross of the Lord Jesus our glory?

1)    What does it mean to take up the cross and follow the Lord?

  Willing to die with Christ
  Receive the power of Christ every day

 

2)    The cross of Christ enables us to grow with the church
