Waiting for divine help.Num14:24, 37, 39-41, 43-45; Dt29:29

 

1. We must not isolate ourselves from God's divine help, but we must be responsible for God's grace.

 

1) Higher experiences like spiritual encounters like transcending peace, miracles & signs, etc.

 

2) Ministries especially evangelism / shepherding.

 

3) The will of God to restore His Kingdom.

2. Why we do not get help when in need?

 

1) In contempt of God's grace.

2) Did not wait = no repentance.

 

3) Did not seek divine help = no faith.

 

3. What does God require of us?

 

1) To learn obedience.

2) Be humble to accept satisfaction with God's discipline.

4. What shall I train while waiting?

 

1) The "Faith" and "zeal" that could go wrong!

2) God's decretive will and God's preceptive will.

 

3) The more important training: "God's will for my life", i.e. "God's preceptive will".

5. Divine help.

 

1) The divine help we must patiently seek: perseverance.

2) God especially distinguished Caleb (but not Joshua) because he stood first to encourage Joshua.
